Michal Březina (*30.3.1990) has already achieved several significant successes. He won the Czech Junior Championship in the years 2005-2007. He also gained a number of great rankings at international junior competitions.
In 2009, he became a Czech champion. His biggest success so far has been 10th place at the Winter Olympics in Vancouver and 4th place at the World Championship in figure skating 2010 in Turin.
Michal Březina missed the beginning of the 2010/2011 season due to a varicose vein operation in October and the surgery still slightly limits him in training. He came second, behind Tomáš Verner, at the International Championship of the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland in Žilina last year.
Michal was not very successful on the Europe Championship in Bern, Switzerland. Due to the fall in the free skate he finished in the 8th place.
But the season goes on... Michal, we wish you good luck at forthcoming World Championship!
